Villa Ricetro is located in Montemagno, fraction of Camaiore, in an extremely quiet area. Camaiore is a small hamlet of stone, nice and quiet, with a strong religious tradition; much felt in particular is the procession of Corpus Christi, during which are compound carpets of brightly-coloured shavings. Villa Ricetro, however, is not isolated from the main attractions of the region: with comfortable day trips, in fact, you may reach by car the clear beaches of Versilia, and great art cities such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Near the structure, instead, relaxing walks in the woods and excursions are the favourite occupation by guests.
Have you ever heard the song of “Old Mc Donald has a farm”? Villa Ricetro, in origin, was just an agricultural centre, hosting livestock and producing oil. Although now it has lost this function, the original structure remained intact after the restoration, offering delicious, rustic but refined accommodations.
The complex is divided into three separate villas, with its ancient wooden ceiling beams, portions of the wall in the bare stone and a refined decor in pure Tuscan style. Being on the hills, the sea is only reachable by car, but the accommodation is undoubtedly much more beautiful and exclusive than a simple hotel. Each villa can accommodate a highly variable number of guests, which ranges from two to eleven, with the possibility to add a bed for small children. The environments are perfectly equipped and include a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, various household appliances, Wi-Fi, satellite TV and heating. Each villa also has a beautiful garden with tables and chairs. For all guests, finally there is a lovely ecological swimming pool outdoor, with salted water.
The opinion of PepeMare: Villa Ricetro is a place full of charm, particularly indicated for the lovers of the hill and the woods. However, we feel to recommend it to anyone who is looking for a holiday that is a little different, although they prefer the sea excursions. The beach is not far away, and the atmosphere of Camaiore adds that extra touch of class that you’ll hardly find on the coast.
